Our Story

Comely International Trading is a bedding and other home textile product importer, based in New york City. The company was started in NYC by Henry Liu and Sue Wang, in 1994 and has been selling quality bedding products to US manufactures and wholesalers, since.

At Comely, we believe in innovative product development and have focused on bringing new products to the market every season. Ours was the first company to import cotton/polyester velour shells nearly 17 years ago and the first to bring in the warp knit plush 'Raschel' blankets to the US market, 12 years ago. Our latest development, a line of cool fabric pillows, pads and covers has been very well received by retailers and consumers.

We develop and ship 'high quality/low cost' down and down-alternative comforters, a large variety of mattress pads and foam toppers, in addition to velour plush and knitted fabric pillow/mattress covers, a large variety of blankets and throws, indoor/outdoor pillow covers and (a recent addition) pet beds.

Our Customers

We have a long history of working with most of the major manufacturers/wholesalers in the industry such as Carpenter, Sleep Innovations (now Innocor), The Company Store, Westpoint Home, Louisville Bedding, Perfect Fit, Down-Lite, FXI, Span America, to name a few.

Our products have been carried under brands like Ralph Lauren, Charisma, Rachael Ray, Caribbean Joe, Hanes, Southern Tide, Cannon, BeautyRest, etc.

Currently our products are retailing at Bed Bath and Beyond, COSTCO, Sam's Club, JCP, Belk, Select Comfort and Aldi. Our products have been sold at retailers, all across the board... like Kohl's, Target, Walmart, TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Ross.

In 2014, our subsidiary Madison Garden Home Collection Inc. started selling through Amazon/Ebay and we are steadily increasing our product assortment on these sites.

Our Factories

Comely International has strategic working partnerships with 4 factories in various provinces of China. Our main factory in Hangzhou specializes in woven fabric and quilted products and has the capacity to manufacture 500,000 mattress pads annually. Our other factories produce warp-knit/knit goods like blankets, velour shells and specialty products like cooling fabrics.

Our factories are well versed in working with natural, synthetic and the latest technical fibers to create a range of fabrics. They are also capable of applying various finishes, like stain release, antimicrobial, water resistant, etc to create functional textiles for solution based products.

In addition to being C-TPAT certified, our factories are inspected regularly and have been certified by various retailers, including COSTCO, BBB, Wal-Mart, etc.
